A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit near B.C.'s Haida Gwaii Monday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck at 159 kilometres south-southwest of Masset, B.C. at 7:49 p.m. It was reported to have been felt on Haida Gwaii.

There have been no reports of major injuries or damage. No tsunami warning has been issued.
This is the second major aftershock in the region since a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck the same area Saturday evening.
Hundreds of aftershocks have rattled the region and are expected to continue for several days following Saturday's quake.
