We understand that Kate Middleton is one of the world's most fashionable faces, but the recent trend one of her facial features has created is a little shocking.
According to the U.K. plastic surgery provider Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group, the Duchess of Cambridge's honker was the most requested nip and tuck in 2012. It's a trend that shows no sign of slowing says Maurizio Persico, a surgeon at the clinic: ''Her nose is straight with a cute, rounded tip and is perfectly in proportion to her face," quotes EntertainmentWise.com.
The need to "look like Kate" has become so prevalent, women are even going to ridiculous lengths to make her appearance theirs. According to ABC News, one woman in the U.S. paid $12,000 to have her nose altered to look just like the Duchess's. (Apparently, she had been carrying around a photo of Middleton's shnoz since she first fell in love with it — around the time Kate married Prince William.)
The Daily Mail claims rhinoplasty procedures — because of Kate's nose — have tripled since she first hit the social scene in 2011.
Now, we understand wanting to emulate a fashionable celebrity. And we even get the desire to copy some of their clothing choices. But to request a surgery to physically resemble someone of stature? That, we're not sure about.
