MAC Marketing Solutions Manager Quits After Fake Investor Scandal

A MAC Marketing Solutions manager has resigned after the real estate company admitted that its employees posed as real estate investors.

A senior manager is out after news reports featured two women of wealthy Chinese parents who wanted to buy a Vancouver condo, reported Business In Vancouver on Wednesday. The women later turned out to be MAC employees.

The Real Estate Council of B.C. is investigating the company for "dishonest tactics."

MAC Marketing provided media outlets with the opportunity to interview the two women as a way to show how condos spike around Chinese New Year.

Owner Cameron McNeill told The Vancouver Sun that the company that he has accepted the manager's resignation and will use this "unfortunate occurrence" as a learning experience.
