Beyonce who? Please. Canucks know how to dress for the Met Gala with more flair than Bey, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart combined!
Canadian celebrities such as "Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev, "Mad Men's" Jessica Pare and a fleet of supermodels represented the Great White North at the 2013 Met Gala on May 6.
Nina, who gained fame as Mia on "Degrassi: The Next Generation," channeled her "Vampire" character, Katherine, in a sexy goth look complete with a leather and lace bustier, flouncy tulle skirt and cobweb trousers. Rawr!
The Met Ball, which was celebrating the Metropolitan Museum of Art's new punk couture exhibit, brought out the wild side in the Canadians.
Jessica used her "Mad Men" style knowledge when putting together a futuristic ensemble with a vibrant blue mullet frock, black trousers and strappy sandals. But we think the 32-year-old French Canadian channeled a bit too much of her swinging '60s character, Megan Draper, with all that eyeshadow.
Of course, not even actresses can dress as well as supermodels and Canadians Coco Rocha and Linda Evangelista proved that when they walked the Met Gala red carpet.
Linda made us realize that she is in fact worth at least $10,000 a day in a frothy dove grey tulle confection with billowing sleeves and her long hair cascading down her back like Rapunzel.
Hot on Linda's fashionable heels was next generation supermodel Coco Rocha, who made sure all eyes were on her in a leopard-print frock and layers of orange butterflies around her neck. It's insect chic!
