Canada's political watchers have given no quarter to Sen. Mike Duffy. It was no different on Tuesday when it was revealed that Nigel Wright, the prime minister's chief of staff, wrote a $90,000 personal cheque to the senator to repay expenses.
Duffy has been in the middle of a months-long scandal over his housing and personal expenses. On Tuesday, CTV revealed that Duffy made a secret deal with the PMO over some $90,000 in repayments he made in March.
Twitter, not surprisingly, is up in arms over the latest news. Many took aim at the prime minister's claim that he knew nothing about the payment made by one of his senior staffers.
