There is now official proof that Cindy Crawford really isn't like the rest of us.

The supermodel tweeted an old newspaper clipping of herself in her very first photo shoot at 16 years old, when she was a student at DeKalb High School in DeKalb, Illinois. (How many of you were modeling in your teens, eh?)

Cindy, who is now 43, looked as if she skipped that awkward phase that all us normal teenagers went through. With a cloud of luxurious brunette hair framing her face, the 5'9 stunner showed off that famous curvy figure in a striped bikini while lounging poolside.

The photo, which was printed on the front of the DeKalb Nite Weekly newspaper, was Cindy's first "cover" and was taken at her high school boyfriend's backyard. (Awwww!)

Cindy also tweeted: "...Believe me when I say I had absolutely no idea where that photo would lead to!" She's not kidding!

Only a few years later would Richard Gere's ex break out to become an essential part of the rise of the supermodels in the '90s along with Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and Tatjana Patitz.

Crawford doesn't do much modeling these days but her mini-me daughter, Kaia Jordan, who she had with husband Rande Gerber, made her own modeling debut for the Young Versace Spring/Summer 2012 campaign.

Could a mother-daughter collaboration be in the works?
