We know you can top your pizza with almost anything, but now we've seen everything.
For a minute, forget about the poutine doughnut and poutine soda (yes, this exists) and feast your eyes on Pizza Hut Canada's latest creation: the beef poutine pizza.
The combination of fries, cheese curds, steak and gravy is part of the chain's limited edition pizza menu in Canada only, paying tribute to some of the most "Canadian" flavours and ingredients. Four other new pizzas include smokey maple bacon, Asian BBQ, grilled chicken club and probably this summer's most unique topping: creamy butter chicken.
But for the company getting its dough dirty in so-called Canadian specialties, it's not the first time they'e experimented with unusual and let's say, bold, flavours. Pizza Hut China, for example, offers hot-dog-stuffed pizza topped with shrimp tempura and mayonnaise.
And for the calorie count, let's just say these pizzas are packin' it in. One slice of a medium 12-inch beef poutine pizza has 320 calories, 15 grams of fat and 330 milligrams of sodium. The butter chicken one is similar, but who really wants to know, right?
