Numbers don't lie. Millions of people around the world waited in anticipation for the birth of the royal baby.
But some Americans aren't too happy about the wall-to-wall coverage given to the British Royal Family and many pointed out that the Americans fought a long and bloody war and threw off the yoke of British oppression way back when in 1776.
I thought the American Revolution was so I never had to hear the term "Royal Baby" again?

Here are a few more tweets lamenting the Royal Baby and the fact that millions of Americans seemingly have mass amnesia and forgot the founding myth of their country.
Of course, Americans seem to have selective memory when it comes to the American Revolution. If they did, they'd be a lot nicer to the French who probably saved their butts in the war that eventually led to their independence. We're also glad that not too many of them decided that they wanted to move to Canada, something that Americans seem to threaten after every single event. Last time we checked new Canadian citizens have to swear an oath to the Queen.
