It probably wasn't easy being Lea Michele at the Teen Choice Awards, but the "Glee" star wowed the audience with her elegance and grace.
The 26-year-old made her first public appearance since the death of her boyfriend and "Glee" co-star Cory Monteith on Sunday night and paid tribute to the Canadian actor by wearing a simple "Cory" necklace.
The raven haired beauty wore a bright two-tone pink Oscar de la Renta outfit with a bell-shape skirt, gorgeous platinum-and-diamond Tiffany & Co. earrings and pink suede Jimmy Choo pumps with a snakeskin toecap.
The actress dedicated her award for Best Actress in a Comedy - TV to Monteith in an emotional speech.
Struggling to fight back tears on stage, Lea said:
"Thank you guys, thank you. I just wanted to be here today to personally thank all of you, and tell everyone out there how much your love and support has meant to me over these very difficult past very difficult few weeks. Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world.
For all of you out there who loved and admired Cory as much as I did, I promise, that with your love, we're going to get through this together. He was very special to me, and also to the world, and we were lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile, and his beautiful, beautiful heart. So, whether you knew him personally or just as Finn Hudson [his 'Glee' character], Cory reached out and he became a part of all of our hearts, and that's where he'll stay forever."
Cory was found dead on July 13 at Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. The B.C. Coroner's Service confirmed the actor died from a lethal combination of heroin and alcohol. He was 31.
