To reference a line from Steve Winwood that Beliebers won't get, Justin Bieber is reportedly back in the high life again.
According to TMZ, a pilot who flew Bieber and his friends on a private jet for a coast-to-coast flight witnessed plumes of marijuana smoke from the SUV the pop star and crew were driving in. "It was like 'Cheech and Chong Up In Smoke,'" the pilot said, referring to the 1978 cult stoner comedy featuring Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong.
The pilot also told sources "I almost had to put on an oxygen mask" when the SUV doors opened on the tarmac.
The flight -- which came with a price tag of over $60,000 -- was private so Bieber's crew smoked some Swisher Sweet blunt cigars but didn't smoke any joints. However, the pilot revealed the pot had done its work as Bieber was "baked out of his mind" on the plane. When asked to sign a credit card authorization, Bieber reportedly answered "huh, what? Who am I signing for?"
The incident isn't the first to feature the singer linked with marijuana. The Daily Mail showed photos last week of a large bong held outside the passenger window of what was reportedly Bieber's van. It's unclear who was holding the device. Meanwhile in late July, marijuana was seized on the singer's tour bus at the U.S.-Canada border between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. Bieber was not on the bus at the time.
Bieber made no comment regarding the pilot's allegations, instead tweeting the following yesterday:
Bieber's Facebook page shows him starting another leg of touring with a stop in Bangkok, Thailand on Sept. 26 that visits Japan, South Korea and China. A South American jaunt is slated for November before wrapping 2013 up in New Zealand and Australia.
