The second-annual JFL42 is invading Toronto again (from September 19-28) with an all-star line-up led by the cast of "Family Guy," who are planning a live script read of the animated comedy, accompanied by a 40-piece orchestra.
In anticipation of the cast's show at the comedy fest on September 28, JFL42 has released a promotional poster of "Family Guy" dad Peter Griffin (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) as troubled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.
The poster depicts a sweaty Griffin with his top shirt button undone, holding a crack pipe. The poster is an obvious reference to the recent allegations against Mayor Ford, who was allegedly seen by members of the media in a video smoking crack.
Soon this poster will be put up across Ontario's capital, and is sure to generate some buzz, not the least of which will come from Ford's office.
Joining the "Family Guy" cast are other comedic acts including headlining performances by Aziz Ansari and Sarah Silverman. Over one hundred additional JFL42 shows will take place at various venues over the 9-day festival.
