For Jessica Chastain's first Vogue cover, editor-in-chief Anna Wintour made sure it was a photo to remember.
The "Zero Dark Thirty" star covers the December 2013 issue wearing a bright yellow Theory by Theyskens' dress and poses in a way that's meant to evoke the painting "Flaming June" by artist Frederic Leighton. (The actress recreates other famous paintings in the inside photo spread.)
The cover, shot by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz, is well deserved for the Oscar-nominated star; Chastain has been slowly but steadily rising the red carpet ranks, stunning fashion editors in Chanel couture and Oscars finery.
Chastain also recently bagged herself a Yves Saint Laurent fragrance campaign and was heralded as Hollywood's most fashionable chameleon by W magazine.
So it's about time Wintour and her crew of stylish bandits got the fiery-haired stunner on their cover!
