Edmonton Police Detective Charged With Assaulting Co-Worker

Detective Accused Of Assaulting Colleague

EDMONTON - A veteran Edmonton police officer has been charged after allegedly assaulting a co-worker in April 2011, and is now under investigation for another unrelated incident within the Edmonton Police Service.

Police say Det. Thomas Wilson, a 25-year-member of the EPS, was charged after an investigation by the police’s Professional Standards Branch and a subsequent review by Alberta Justice. Wilson, 47, has been suspended without pay, and will make his first court appearance on Jan. 15.
