Olympians and visitors staying around Sochi's scenic harbour got an extra nice surprise on Thursday. The dolphins are back.
NBC correspondent Dr. Nancy Snyderman tweeted a photo of what appear to be dolphins frolicking.
A few athletes also noticed the animals.

Dolphins are native to the Black Sea so it's not surprising that people are seeing them in the seaside resort. Ancient sailors also thought that seeing dolphins brought good luck, so maybe spotting them is a good thing for these Games.
Before the start of these Olympics, rumours that organizers wanted to feature captive dolphins and orcas at Sochi sparked widespread criticism and protests. Those plans appear to have been shelved.
