It's no mystery to anyone who watches Sun News that the network leans on the conservative side, but we thought it wanted to at least maintain the pretense of neutrality. This graphic, posted by the network's Twitter account, isn't helping their case.
If you mistook the graphic as one of the Tories' Trudeau attack ads, we wouldn't blame you.
Both the Conservatives and the Liberals have made the middle class a part of their platforms, but the Sun seems to be challenging Trudeau's claim to represent middle-class voters by attacking the relatively-privileged background he enjoyed as the son of a prime minister.
While it is true that the Liberal leader lives in Ottawa's lavish Rockcliffe neighbourhood and drives a vintage Mercedes-Benz, a few of the other details have been taken out of context. Trudeau's mother Margaret had two parts in films in the late 1970s and early 1980s, but was not well-known as an actress.
When it comes to Harper, context is important too. The prime minister did grow up in the suburbs of east Toronto, but while the vehicle parked in the driveway of his Calgary home is a 2002 Chevy Malibu, our leader spends much of his time in Ottawa being driven around in a bulletproof limousine.
Also, while Harper's family home is in a more modest neighbourhood, he also has access to the sprawling prime ministerial retreat in Harrington Lake, Quebec.
As for Harper and Trudeau's former occupations, we're a little miffed here. If you're trying to paint the Prime Minister as a down-to-earth Canadian, maybe let's not highlight the whole corporate lobbyist and political aide bits.
