From the Ottawa Police:

The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a recent retail robbery.

On March 3, 2014, at approximately 6:40pm, a lone male suspect entered a convenience store located in the 200 block of Kent Street. The suspect approached the storeowner and made a demand for cash. The suspect was carrying a hockey stick, which he pointed at the storeowner. The suspect fled the premises empty handed when the owner grabbed the hockey stick. There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, approximately 5’10” (178cm), slim build. He was dressed in black and wore a balaclava. There are no available images at this time.

Well, at least he didn't do this.
