These days, Lena Dunham is a red carpet pro but back when she was a teenager, the actress was arguably more fabulous.
The "Girls" star posted a throwback Instagram pic on Friday and in it we see the bubbly brunette rocking a neon green dress, long hair, thin eyebrows and hoop earrings (remember those??)
"#tbt best New Year's Eve ever, transitioning into '03 I believe... @gabrielheld masterminded both our looks. The joy of being a Brooklyn teen is wasted on Brooklyn teens," Lena captioned the hilarious photo. Standing beside her was a guy pal who looked almost as fab in a red button-up, black blazer, cream scarf and a sly smile.
We can now see why Anna Wintour put the 27-year-old on the cover of Vogue: not only does Lena know how to rock a bright colour like a boss but she's not afraid of showing off her vintage style moments for all the world to see.
But what a difference a few years make, eh? Lena walked the red carpet at a "Dom Hemingway" screening in New York on Thursday, rocking a sleek bob and sporting a wine-coloured frock. (No hoops in sight.)
