Country music's biggest brought all the genre's biggest stars -- and a few unexpected guests -- to Las Vegas for the annual Academy of Country Music Awards.
Co-hosted by singer and "The Voice" judge Blake Shelton alongside Luke Bryan, who opened with a Daft Punk joke, the ACMs doled out trophies to Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert, Shelton's reality-show rival Keith Urban, a judge on 'American Idol,' critically acclaimed up-and-comer Kacey Musgraves and living legend George Strait. In fact, the soon-to-retire Straight beat out Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and both co-hosts Bryan and Shelton.
Speaking of legends, Merle Haggard received the ACM's Crystal Milestone Award, presented by Garth Brooks, and a musical tribute by Lambert and Strait. It was the perfect gift, considering Sunday was also Haggard's 77th birthday.
As for the unexpected guests, Shelton's "Voice"-mate Shakira showed up to sing their duet "Medicine" and Stevie Nicks teamed up with Lady Antebellum for "Golden" and "Rhiannon" while non-country celebs like Olivia Munn, Sheryl Crow and LL Cool J also appeared.
