Calgary police drug sting nets 23 people

CALGARY – Police have laid 190 charges in a five-week sting that targeted street-level drug traffickers.

Police say the investigation dubbed ‘Operation Wonderland’ began on Tuesday, March 25th, and focused on specific areas of the downtown core identified as being problem spots by officers and the community.

During their operation, police seized 34.6 grams of marijuana, 14.4 grams of crack cocaine, 3.5 grams of powder cocaine and 2.1 grams of methamphetamine.

Investigators have charged 23 people with a total of 86 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act charges, including:
