If names are any measure of a person’s future, then one Florida woman was destined for infamy from the start.
Florida police arrested a woman named Crystal Metheney in May after she allegedly fired a "missile" into a sitting car.
It isn't clear why Metheney launched the "missile" into the car or what the object actually was since state law classifies projectile "stone or other hard substance" in the weapon class.
However, the severity of the crime wasn't enough to keep her in jail for more than 24 hours. The 36-year-old woman was released on $5,000 bail the next day, according to documents from Polk County Sheriff’s office.
Though Metheney may be catching waves of attention now, it isn't the Florida native’s first run-in with the law.
In 2012, Metheney was booked on two drug-possession charges after she was caught with less than 20 grams of marijuana.
