Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, might get most of the spotlight when it comes to young royals, but today, it's time to turn the focus on Prince William.

The prince, who is second in line to the English throne, celebrates his 32nd birthday on June 21, 2014, and it's about time he got some appreciation.

There's something lovingly dopey about the prince we find hard to resist in his many photo opps (especially when he's gazing down at his son, Prince George). Perhaps that's not the best descriptor for a future King of England, but it's hard to deny his abashed facial expressions and general "who me?" demeanour. In the words of the Brits, he just seems like a "nice bloke."

So if you're in agreement, you too might enjoy these pictures we've put together of Prince William, Duke Of Cambridge, from the last year or so, looking completely like the guy you want at your dinner party.

Happy Birthday, Prince William!
