Sulley Muntari, Ghana Player, Seen Handing Out Cash To Locals In Brazil (VIDEO)

WATCH: Ghana Star Player Hands Out Cash To Locals

Ghana's star player may be out of the team's next match against Portugal in the World Cup, but he's certainly left a good impression on locals.

Sulley Muntari, a midfielder for Ghana, was seen Thursday handing out cash in the poor neighbourhood of Trapiche, near Maceió, where the team is practicing. One resident told Globo News he handed her 350 Brazilian reals, which is about $169 Canadian.

Muntari got special permission from his manager Kwesi Appiah to visit the neighbourhood. But police asked him to stop doling out the cash out of fear fights would break out.

Just before the team entered their Maceió hotel on Saturday, Muntari also stopped to meet with a few young fans and signed one little guy's sticker book, according to another Globo story.

If you weren't already convinced he's a nice guy, Muntari hugged a shirtless man who ran onto the field during Saturday's match against Germany before escorting the man off the pitch.

The midfielder received his second yellow card of the World Cup during Saturday's game and won't play against Portugal this coming Thursday.
