Michael MacPherson, Yukon Murder Suspect, May Be Headed To B.C.

Yukon Murder Suspect On The Run

Whitehorse RCMP say a man wanted for second-degree murder may be headed to B.C. or Saskatchewan.

Michael MacPherson, 32, is the subject of an arrest warrant in the death of Tanner Sinclair, 27. He was found injured in a Whitehorse home on Tuesday and died in hospital.

RCMP issued an alert on Thursday that MacPherson may be on the run to B.C. or the Prairies where he has connections. The fugitive is considered armed and dangerous, so anyone who spots him should call 911 immediately and not approach him, said police.

He's known to also use the names Michael Pound or Michael Proud, said RCMP.

Police recovered his 2002 Cadillac Escalade thanks to tips from the public but they're looking for an older, dented red Toyota Corolla, possibly with the Yukon licence plate HHS50.
