Three men are facing charges after allegedly handing out free cocaine samples to Edmonton youth last week.

According to police, the samples were handed out last Wednesday and Thursday from a white pickup truck parked near 103rd Street and 83 Avenue in the Old Strathcona area.

The samples also included contact information, in case the youth wanted to buy drugs in the future.

Police have charged Jesse Levesque, 22, and Chris Hefford, 22, both of Edmonton, and Dan Friedrick, 25, of Spruce Grove, with trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and living off the proceeds of crime.

Three men were arrested after two-day investigation between the Drug Undercover Street Team and Old Scona patrol members that focused on identifying drug traffickers targeting youths.
