Four things. That's all you need to get rid of those pesky little fruit flies chilling on your ripe bananas and avocados.

YouTube user spytrips shares a simple and easy way to get rid of fruit flies in less than five minutes.

Now you may wonder how these little insects end up on your fruit in the first place, but as it turns out, fruit flies follow you home from the grocery store (already on your produce) or slip their way onto your ripe fruit though the smallest cracks or screens, according to About.com. The average fruit fly can grow from an egg to an adult in as little as eight days.

Remember, always wash and inspect your produce before you eat it and watch the video above to learn how to get rid of them ... before they multiply. And multiply.
