OVO Fest After-Party Shooting Leaves Two Wounded

While Drake's annual OVO Fest went off without a hitch last night at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, an OVO after-party was mired by a shooting near the Muzik nightclub early Tuesday morning (Aug. 5) that left two wounded.

City News reports a male in his 30s was rushed to St. Michael's Hospital after being shot in the torso around 4 a.m. There's no word as to whether the shooting took place inside the club located on the Canadian National Exhibition grounds or outside the venue which was the official host of the OVO Fest after party. It's also unclear if Drake was at the venue at the time the shooting took place.

Global News reports that a second person, a female, was shot in the leg. The female victim called police after making her way home. The news outlet also reported the shooting took place just outside the venue's front doors.

The male, who has not been identified, was conscious when he arrived at the hospital while CBC News reports he was rushed to a trauma center. Meanwhile, CTV News reports the man to be in his 20s. Thus far no suspects have been identified.

Toronto Police tweeted the following earlier this morning:

Drake made no comment on the incident but tweeted the following Tuesday morning:

The 2014 edition of OVO Fest featured Outkast on the opening night with Drake closing the festival Monday evening. Drake's set included cameos by 50 Cent and G-Unit, Lauryn Hill and Usher among others.
