Corey Bonalewicz, U.S. DJ, Takes Faceful Of Nurse Shark Vomit (VIDEO)

WATCH: Shark Vomits Water Projectile Into Man's Face

Sometimes a shark's vomit is worst than its bite.

That's the lesson Corey Bonalewicz learned while vacationing at a resort in Cancun, Mexico last weekend. The radio DJ from New Orelans was petting the nose of the six-foot nurse shark when the animal hurled a projectile of what looks to be water in the man's face, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Bonalewicz's friend caught the entire incident on camera, laughing and yelling off camera "Hey Corey! I got that all on video buddy." Bonalewicz seems to take the incident in good stride, removing his sunglasses to wipe his face, while his girlfriend, Alicia Aucoin, gave the nurse shark a hug at the end of the clip, the Daily Mail points out.

Nurse sharks are typically harmless to humans, according to National Geographic. They tend to feed in the bottom of oceans as oppose to actively hunt like their more aggressive brethren.

It's unclear what caused the shark to retch out the blast of liquid but sharks can vomit when they're unable to fully digest something they've eaten.
