Attention lovers of sugar, icing and sprinkles, a doughnut eating contest is coming to Toronto.
That's right, for an entry fee of $100 (it all goes to charity) doughnut worshippers have a chance to win a two-night stay at a farm sanctuary and eat all the doughnuts they can cram in their mouths. But fellow doughnut lovers, be aware: the contest, run by Toronto's Through Being Cool Vegan Baking Co. (TBC), is only taking 12 contestants.
"The first 12 people to collect $100 (or more) in donations and bring them into TBC will earn a spot as a contestant," the site says. All proceeds will go to the Toronto Walk For Farm Animals, which raises awareness of horrific factory farming practices.
Second place winners can also design their own doughnut for TBC, and other prizes include gift cards to restaurants and cafes across the city.
And while Toronto is known for other eating contests like the poutine eating contest, a spicy dosa eating contest and even one for jerk chicken, we can only imagine a doughnut battle is something straight out of a "Simpsons" episode:
But we're wondering, how many doughnuts do you think you could eat in a short time frame?
