Iggy Azalea's 'Fancy' Is The Official Song of the Summer According To Billboard

First Things First, This Was The Official Song Of The Summer

And the official song of the summer is, well, exactly what you thought it would be, Iggy Azalea's "Fancy."

According to Billboard magazine, which runs a songs of the summer chart from Memorial Day through Labour Day, "Fancy" was the season's undisputed champion.

Azalea's rap-sung collaboration with Charli XCX was number one for seven consecutive weeks and stayed in the top five for another month-and-a-half after that. Azalea also came in the third spot as a featured guest on Arianna Grande's "Problem." In between was controversial lite-reggae jam "Rude" by Canadians MAGIC! which was number one for those six weeks after "Fancy" faded.

You can find the rest of the songs of the summer top ten below, as well as our picks for the best songs of 2014 so far, which includes our personal pick for the song of the summer, "Hideaway" by Canadian dance-pop newcomer Kiesza.

Oh, and while it may be too late, here are some other summer songs HuffPost deemed better than "Fancy."
