Controversial ex-boxer Mike Tyson unleashed a tirade of swear words in a CP24 interview just a day after he called Rob Ford the "best mayor in Toronto's history."
The former heavyweight champion of the world is in Toronto to perform his one-man show, "Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth" at the Air Canada Centre on Wednesday night.
As part of his visit, he and promoter Alex Choko stopped in for an interview with CP24's Nathan Downer.
The interview was going pleasantly enough until Downer brought up Tyson's rape conviction.
Tyson then said, "It's so interesting that you come across like a nice guy but you're really a piece of shit."
Downer tried to point out that they were on live television but Tyson responded, "I don't care, what are you going to do about it?"
A representative for the ex-boxer told TMZ that he felt "deceived" by Downer because he allegedly broke an agreement to focus on his one-man show.
Downer was alternately praised and criticized on Twitter after the interview surfaced.
Kudos to Nathan Downer - so professional! What an awkward interview… @CP24— Morgan Cadenhead (@morgancadenhead) September 10, 2014
Nathan Downer just got told be Iron Mike Tyson on CP24. Nathan, that was a terrible question.— Rastapower13 (@Rastapower131) September 10, 2014
Downer himself responded via social media.
I'm okay everybody. Unfortuantlely my question hurt Mike Tyson's feelings. That was not my intentions. My apolgies for the language— nathan downer (@nathandowner1) September 10, 2014
No ill will toward Mike Tyson. He lashed out at me and that's okay. Not taking it personally pic.twitter.com/e27mfrOagJ— nathan downer (@nathandowner1) September 10, 2014
