Police are investigating after a six-year-old boy was accidentally shot on a rural property in southern Alberta.
The incident happened near Beiseker, approximately 75 kilometres northeast of Calgary.
While few details have been released, police say the boy's father drove him south toward Airdie to meet emergency responders.

Police say the child was shot with a small caliber firearm.
He remains in hospital in Calgary in stable, non life-threatening condition.
