World Vegetarian Day may seem like just another day for those of you who are true vegetarians (yes, sans seafood), but Oct. 1 is all about celebrating everything about being a vegetarian, its impact on environment and of course, the food.
Many cultures already make delicious vegetarian-friendly dishes, from traditional Mediterranean foods like hummus to noodle and rice dishes from Asian countries like Japan or Taiwan.
