There are many benefits to celebrity, but perhaps the best is being wealthy enough to live in homes that would would make Richie Rich blush. Whether you're a rock star, rap star, pop star or country star, chances are when not touring the world you're kicking back in an amazing mansion.

Let's put it this way, when Celine Dion set up shop for good in Las Vegas, she decided to sell her country home in Quebec and her beach home in Florida the former went on the market for $30 million while the latter was asking $72.5 million.

Not everyone is the biggest selling solo artist in history, but even relative newcomer Drake bought himself a crash pad that comes complete with a movie theatre and wine cellar as big as most downtown Toronto homes and a full-blown, Playboy mansion-style grotto.

Then again, dance music DJ Calvin Harris recently snagged a Beverly Hills mansion that cost five times (!) what Drizzy paid.

Since 2000 or so, the music industry has been crying poor, but these galleries of current and former homes show you just where your money is going when you buy albums, MP3s, concert tickets and $140 Drake hoodies.
