Doctors Find Spider In U.K. Singer Katie Melua's Ear (VIDEO)

Spider In Singer's Ear Will Make You Forever Fear Headphones

We all have old headphones we like to use now and then, but just imagine, for a moment, they were inhabited by a spider.

It sounds like a nightmare, but this is exactly what happened to U.K. pop singer Katie Melua, who went to the doctor just over a week ago, after noticing a rustling in her ear.

"I used these old in-ear monitors to block out sound on a flight, little spider must have been in them and crawled inside my ear and stayed there for the week. It was no hassle at all, apart from the occasional shuffling noises," she said on her Instagram account.

According to the video by Geobeats above, an ear specialist used a micro-vacuum to remove the spider from her ear. Although it looks terrifying (and like it's smiling in the photo), Melua says the spider was pretty small.

But was it still alive when it was taken out? Watch the video above to find out and check out these videos and photos Melua posted that week.
