Vogue's December 2014 cover star is the flawless Amy Adams, and we couldn't think of a better movie star to be featured in the fashion bible's annual holiday issue.
The December issue is a special one for Vogue. Unlike the September issue, which features a how-to guide for fall's hottest fashions, the December issue usually features a romantic (and stylish) re-telling of a classic fairytale or story (see Natalia Vodianova's Alice in Wonderland Dec. 2003 spread).
This year, the magazine cast Amy as the peasant girl Karen from the fairytale "The Red Shoes," and thankfully the actress doesn't go through the same gruesome acts that befall Karen.
Although the cover shot isn't part of the inside photo shoot, it's just as breathtaking. The 40-year-old redhead sports a sheer Valentino Couture dress that features a black-and-gold floral print. The "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actress' beauty look is on-point too, with her fiery locks styled into a simple swept-back 'do and her big blue eyes enhanced by subtle eye makeup and a red lip.
