Lexi, Calgary Rescue Dog, Impresses On David Letterman Show (VIDEO)

Acrobatic Calgary Dog Amazes David Letterman

It takes an astounding feat of athleticism for your pet to land on late night television, but a Labrador-border collie cross from Calgary was up to the task.

Chris Jansen's dog Lexi made the leap into late night stardom as part of the "Stupid Pet Tricks" segment on the "Late Show with David Letterman" on Tuesday night.

Lexi's trick involved climbing a ladder and jumping into her owner's arms. And it clearly impressed Letterman, who exclaimed, "That was heroic!" when she finished.

Lexi, whom Jansen obtained from the Calgary Humane Society in 2009, wound up on the show after a video showed off her tricks on YouTube last year.

The video shows Lexi performing tricks such as standing atop a basketball hoop, jumping from one post to the next and climbing down the railing on a staircase.

It has garnered over 340,000 views on YouTube.
