Music fans may still be griping that Dr. Dre still hasn't released his now-mythical next album "Detox," but I'd bet his banker is cool with the decade-long delay considering how the hip-hop producer's non-music career is going.
Not only did Dre top Forbes' list of highest paid musicians of 2014, he did it by raking in more money in one year than any musician ever has. Though not quite hip-hop's first billionaire, as he briefly boasted of being, he did take in a cool $620 million when the headphone company he co-founded, Beats, was sold to Apple for $3 billion.
It was so much that there's a full half-billion bucks between Dre and runner-up Beyonce while poor little rich boy Drake came it at number 30 with a mere (!) $30 million. He was joined by fellow Canadians Justin Bieber, Celine Dion and Michael Buble.
Calvin Harris also claimed the highest earnings of any DJ ever, telling Forbes "I happened to be in the right place at the right time."
