With 2014 drawing to a close, it's prime time for a lot of people to start setting goals for the year ahead.

This is especially true for small business owners.

"January is a big time for entrepreneurs thinking of starting a business, and small business owners looking to improve their existing operations," Mark Blendheim, communications manager for Small Business BC, told The Huffington Post B.C. in an email.

The organization sees increased web and foot traffic after the winter holidays. The break usually gives entrepreneurs "thinking time" on their ideas and business plans, and the new year allows them to commit to executing some big ideas, said Blendheim.

So in that spirit (and considering the popularity of our story detailing advice from small B.C. business owners), we present to you a list of resolutions from some of the province's top small-scale entrepreneurs, compiled by Small Business BC.

Whether they're from the owners of a juice truck, a compost company, or an eyebrow-shaping salon, the goals are ones we can all relate to.
