A powerful winter storm caused traffic mayhem on B.C.'s Sea to Sky highway Sunday.
While the snow may be a boon for ski resorts, many motorists found themselves at a standstill, often due to cars without proper winter tires getting into trouble.
The area between Squamish and Whistler was particularly slow, according to Global News.
Portions of other highways were closed entirely Monday morning, according to CBC. Parts of Highways 1, 3 and 31 were shut to traffic. Check DriveBC for the latest updates.
With Environment Canada forecasting more snow and rain Monday for much of the province, it's likely drivers will be seeing more scenes like these.
