Two B.C. filmmakers have a chance of walking away with $1 million after they reached the top 10 in the Doritos Super Bowl ad contest.

Maple Ridge's Graham Talbot nabbed a top spot in the Crash the Super Bowl contest for his ad "When Pigs Fly."

At the same time, Vancouver's Devon Ferguson became a finalist for "Selfish Sneezers."

The B.C. men's entries were chosen out of nearly 4,900 submissions.

The winner is chosen by public votes, while the runner-up is selected by Doritos. All of the finalists get a free trip to the Super Bowl, where the top two commercials will be revealed when they are screened at the huge event.

"I’m kind of stressing about not actually getting to enjoy the Super Bowl because I’m so nervous about if my commercial’s gonna screen,” Talbot told CTV News.

The finalists are guaranteed $25,000.

It's the ninth year of the contest, and a non-U.S. citizen has never won the grand prize, which also comes with a one-year contract at Universal Pictures. Voting is now open.
