This is Tess Munster.

Also known as Tess Holliday, she's made a career as a plus-size model. She is 5'5", 260 pounds and wears a size 22, according to The Daily Mail.

She was often told she was too short and too fat to be a model, said The New York Daily News.

Plus-size agency models are typically over 5'8" and range in sizes from eight to 16, the paper added.

But Munster has persisted. The Los Angeles-based model created the "#EffYourBeautyStandards" campaign to encourage body positivity.

And now, she's changing the industry's own ideas for what it takes to be an agency model. Munster says she's the first-ever plus size model of her size and height to be signed to a major agency, after MiLk Model Management took her on as a client.

"I started following her, and saw how many followers she had — more than most models. She's such an important role model for so many women," Anna Shillinglaw, MiLk's owner/director, told the Daily News.

She has been named a "top curvy model" by Vogue Italia.

At MiLk, Munster joins a coterie of famous models, like former Sports Illustrated rookie of the year Kate Bock...
