Though we haven't even hit spring yet (officially), we're already thinking about summer trends for 2015.
The season of hot sunny days will be here before we know it, and we want to be prepared with the best trends of the season. So, we're stocking up our wardrobes with everything from classy bralettes to flowing boho-chic peasant tops, and everything in between.
Just check out our favourite trends for the heat in the gallery below!
(Story continues below slideshow)
1. Bralettes Galore
What better way to fight the heat than by wearing minimal clothing? This summer, don't be afraid to show a little skin by wearing a crop top or bralette. Pair with a flirty high waisted skirt for a super feminine look, as seen on the runway at Diane von Furstenberg, or layer under a sheer top for a more subtle look, a la Giamba.
2. Get Cropped
If you're like us, you continue to wear pants throughout the summer, regardless of how hot it is. Sure, sometimes it sucks, but we've done sillier things for fashion. To make things a little more comfortable during the warmer months, opt for trousers with a cropped hemline (as seen on the runways at Veronique Leroy) or go for a wide leg culotte that hits right below the knee, like we saw at Jil Sander.
3. Mini Skirts And Super Short Dresses
While full skirts and midi-lengths were a big trend on the spring/summer runways, we also saw plenty of mini skirts and dresses throughout fashion month. Peter Dundas sent models down the runway at Pucci in hippie-chic embellished mini dresses, and Jeremy Scott's Barbie-inspired collection for Moschino featured plenty of short skirts in shades like cotton candy pink and lime green.
4. Lots Of Lavender
Pastels and summer are a match made in heaven, and this season, the reigning shade is definitely lavender (hands down!). The pretty purple shade showed up everywhere from Balenciaga to Prabal Gurung, and we loved it. We'll definitely be adding this shade to our summer wardrobes!
5. Flowing Peasant Tops
Floaty peasant tops are perfect for summer -- they're light, airy, and make for great beach cover-ups. They also add an effortlessly chic '70s vibe to any outfit, as was the case at Pucci and Chloe.
6. Sporty Chic Swimwear
This summer, instead of reaching for your tiny string bikini and triangle top, we suggest going for something a little sportier. (Trust us, it will look just as sexy!) We saw sporty bathing suits on plenty of runways, including Wildfox and Luli Fama.
7. Oversized Sunglasses
Oversized frames were a major trend on the spring/summer runways, as seen everywhere from Cavalli to 3.1 Phillip Lim. They're perfect for protecting your peepers from the sun's rays, and they're super stylish to boot.
8. Gladiator Sandals
