Kristen Stewart Channels A Photojournalist In New Chanel Eyewear Campaign

Kristen Stewart Plays Photojournalist For Chanel Eyewear Campaign

She's played a human-turned-vampire, Snow White and even Joan Jett, but for Chanel's spring 2015 eyewear campaign, Kristen Stewart takes on the role of photojournalist.

In the ads photographed by Karl Lagerfeld, the 24-year-old "Twilight" saga star, who is also the face of Chanel's 11.12 handbag campaign, looks behind a vintage camera lens while sporting frames from the French fashion house.

Very meta, indeed.

The images feature a minimalist setting, with the focus on KStew and the frames, which were presented during Chanel's spring/summer 2015 ready-to-wear show. While some of the sunglasses reinterpret the pilot frame of the 1970s, others draw inspiration from the jewelry held dear to Gabrielle Chanel, including pearls and cabochons set in metal and rhinestone.

Check out the full campaign in the gallery below, and watch the video above for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the ads.
