New Westminster police are trying to locate a woman who jumped from a moving car on Wednesday afternoon.

A witness saw the South Asian woman leap out out of a white car travelling at about 20 km/h, according to a police news release.

The driver reportedly stopped the vehicle by East Columbia Street near Front Street, chased after the woman, and pulled her back into the car by her long, black hair.

The man behind the wheel is described as white, in his 40s, about six feet tall, and bald with a heavy build.

Asking anyone who has more information is asked to contact Const. Leigh Hodak at (604) 525-5411.
