People on Vancouver already have a reputation as a heath-obsessed, craft-beer drinking outdoorsy folk — now, they can add traffic-halting yogis to the list.

Premier Christy Clark announced that a major bridge in the city will be shut down on June 21 for ... yoga.

Local yogis will be breaking out the spandex en masse for a free yoga class on the Burrard Street Bridge. The outdoor session, dubbed "Om the Bridge," will close the span to traffic in both directions from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. to mark the International Day of Yoga.

The province boasted that the bendy affair could be the day's biggest gathering of yogis outside of India. Which, we have to admit, is pretty cool.

Namaste, Vancouver, namaste.
