The Ancaster Pet Cemetery has served as the final resting place for many beloved animals for almost 50 years.
And now, the owners want to see if someone else is willing to manage the property that has helped bring closure for many bereaved families.
The Hamilton cemetery has been placed up for sale for $325,000 on Businessforsale.com.

Included in the sale are a three-acre property with chapel, a tractor and an estimated 2,500 remaining plots left in which to bury animals.
"With an average of 50 burials per year, there is over 40 years or more of continued revenue stream," it reads.
Resting beneath the earth at the Ancaster Pet Cemetery is Troy, a police service dog who "made the ultimate sacrifice" in the line of duty; Apache's Pondora, "the best horse in the world"; and many other beloved animals now missed by their families.
The sale represents an "ideal" business opportunity for a veterinarian or someone who already owns another pet cemetery, says the ad.
But it comes as pet burials are happening less and less, Nancy Graham of Uxbridge's Thistledown Pet Crematory told CBC News.
The expense involved in burying a pet has led a number of families to turn to cremation, she said.
But that may well be an option at the Ancaster site, which has room enough to build a crematorium and burial wall, says the ad.
