Woman Caught On Camera Stealing Flowers From London, Ont. Cemetery

“It’s happened probably 10 or 12 times now."

A hidden camera has caught a woman repeatedly stealing flowers from one particular grave site in London, Ont.

Alma Allerston, 86, passed away on Easter Sunday this year and was buried at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Her daughter, Marg Allerston-Medeiros, and her family decorate the site with mementos and fresh flowers.

For the past three months, someone has inexplicably been stealing the items, and sometimes disposing them in a nearby garbage bin, according to Fresh Radio.

“It’s happened probably 10 or 12 times now," she told the outlet.

Allerston-Medeiros got fed up and set up a video camera — which captured footage of the female suspect on Wednesday ripping up the plants from the ground and putting them into a box.

London police are looking for a slim woman in her 20s, about five feet, five inches tall with dyed blond hair and dark roots.

“It’s hell, I have to tell you, going to the cemetery and seeing the empty holes when you’re expecting to water flowers,” Allerston-Medeiros told the London Free Press.

Allerston-Medeiros says she has no idea why someone would be targeting her mother or her family.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the London Police Service, or reach out to Allerston-Medeiros on Facebook through a private message.
