Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. also known by his stage name, Common, says America has not faced the facts when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The singer and actor stopped by the HuffPost Canada studio with director Rob Reiner and co-star Cary Elwes to talk about their new film, Being Charlie, when he was asked what he thought about where the movement is going.

"An apology means something to a people in many ways," said Common. "There's been a lot of stuff going on against people of colour and we need to resolve it... that's standing up for humanity, that's standing up for love and that's what we are."
