Celebrities have long been called upon to use their influence in order to affect change, and over the weekend's Global Citizen Festival in New York, some of the biggest names in the world were there to remind us that poverty needs to be eradicated by 2030.
While there was no shortage of inspirational moments played out to a crowd of 60,000 who had done their part to get there by writing to world leaders in order to call attention the cause (and in turn, were put in a draw to get tickets for the event), there was only one queen, and her name was Beyonce.
While her own set included hits like "Crazy In Love" and "Halo," it was in her duets that she shone, sharing the stage with Ed Sheeran (not for the first time) and Pearl Jam at separate moments.
And then, of course, was that hug with Michelle Obama, bringing together two powerful women for one beautiful moment:

And then watch probably the most surprising combination of the night, Beyonce joining Eddie Vedder for a rousing rendition of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song"
