Then And Now Photos Of Premature Babies Are Breathtaking

“This album shows portraits of people born prematurely that have sometimes had a difficult journey at the beginning of life. You can see what they have become.”

A Quebec photographer is proving just how strong premature babies can be. In an inspiring new photo series called “Les Premas,” photographer Red Methot shows people of all ages posing with photos of themselves as premature babies.

Because preemies have less time to develop in the womb, they often face a number of difficulties in their first few months of life. Methot’s photos illustrate this and highlight the immense strength and perseverance these babies had in order to overcome their early challenges in life.

On his Facebook page, Methot writes: “This album shows portraits of people born prematurely that have sometimes had a difficult journey at the beginning of life. You can see what they have become.”

Before And After Photos Of Premature Babies

Premature babies can be born as early as 25 weeks of pregnancy; however most preemies are born between 34 and 36 weeks. The number of difficulties a premature baby faces depends on how early they are born. Health issues include breathing problems, heart problems and even underdeveloped organs.
